Your First Visit

We are pleased to welcome you and hope that this information will help you become familiar with our office. Your first visit to our office will give us the opportunity to meet you and for you to also meet our staff members who are all eagerly awaiting the opportunity to welcome you and make you comfortable.

During your first visit, one of our treatment coordinators will give you a brief tour. Here are a few things to expect during that appointment:

Records

We will take initial extra oral and intra oral photos which will help the orthodontist come up with a diagnosis and treatment plan. Radiographs will also be taken if required.

Preliminary examination and consultation

A complimentary orthodontic clinical examination will be performed by the orthodontist. We will identify any orthodontic problems and discuss necessary corrective treatment and alternatives. We will be discussing your specific treatment plans, estimated length of treatment and fees.

Financial arrangements

We offer flexible payment plans and options to suit your budget. We will discuss this with you extensively and the patient as well as parents and/or spouse are invited to attend.

Diagnostic records

If treatment is indicated and you agree to proceed, additional diagnostic records will be taken. We will take impression scans for upper and lower study models and also take three dimensional diagnostic x-rays. After the scan we can give you a digital sneak peak of what your smile would look like at the end of the treatment.

Family dentist

It is important that while you are in orthodontic treatment, you continue to see your family dentist for regular check up and cleanings. We can arrange to remove your arch wires prior to your cleaning appointment to ensure better cleaning access for the hygienist and / or dentist.

If you have any questions or concerns you can call us at 587 500 3581 and we would be glad to give you more information. If you call during non-business hours, please leave a message and someone will return your call as soon as possible.
